Price should not be the first motivation in hiring a general contractor – Hiring the least expensive general contractor does not necessarily mean that the contractor’s work is of low quality, but at the same time, it does not mean that the contractor’s work is of the highest quality, thus, price should not be the first motivation in hiring a general contractor. Ask them questions about the quality of work, whether the contractor perform the work within the specified time frame, if there were any issues/problems during the remodeling, how the contractor resolved the issues/problems, and whether the contractor was courteous and professional.
